Privacy Policy

This policy explains what ShowerSoft ("we", "us") collects when you use showersoftener.com, what we do with it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect only what we need to answer you and ship you parts, we do not sell it, and we do not run advertising trackers on this site.

What we collect

Information you give us. We only get this when you fill in a form or email us.

• Contact form: your name, email address, the reason you are writing, and your message.
• Replacement parts form: your name, email address, shipping address, the part and the problem you describe, and an Amazon order number if you give one.
• Email list: your email address.
• Anonymous feedback: the topic and message only. We do not ask for your name or email, and we do not store your IP address with it.
• Email to support@showersoftener.com: whatever you choose to include.

Information collected automatically.

• IP address. We use it only to limit how many times a form can be submitted in an hour, which stops spam. We store it in hashed form, never linked to your name or submission, and delete it within a day.
• Browser type (the user agent), to filter out bots.
• Buy button clicks. When you click through to Amazon, we record which button and which page it was on. That record contains nothing that identifies you.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard request data such as IP address and pages requested in order to serve the site and protect it from attacks.

We do not collect payment card details on this website. ShowerSoft is sold on Amazon, and Amazon handles those purchases.

Cookies and tracking

We do not use analytics, advertising, or social media tracking cookies or pixels on this site. The only cookie we set is a login cookie for our own staff admin page, which you will never encounter as a visitor. Cloudflare, our hosting provider, may set a strictly necessary security cookie to tell people apart from bots. It is not used to track you.

Because we do not track visitors over time or across other websites, browser "Do Not Track" signals do not change how this site behaves. We do not allow third parties to collect information about your activity across sites through this site.

Links to our Amazon listing carry an Amazon Attribution tag. It tells Amazon that the visit came from our site, and Amazon gives us aggregate reports (for example, how many visits led to a sale). Amazon does not tell us who you are. Once you are on Amazon, the Amazon Privacy Notice applies.

How we use it

• To reply to your messages and support requests.
• To verify your address, ship replacement parts, and send you tracking updates.
• To run the warranty parts program fairly, including spotting duplicate requests.
• To send our email list, if you signed up for it.
• To keep the site secure and free of spam.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share it only with the services that help us run the site and ship your order, and only what each one needs:

• Cloudflare hosts the website and the database that stores form submissions.
• Resend sends our emails and manages the email list, including unsubscribes.
• Shippo and the shipping carrier receive your name and address to verify it and deliver your part.
• Google Workspace hosts our support inbox.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.

How long we keep it

We keep support and parts request records for as long as we need them to support your product and run the warranty program, including preventing duplicate claims. Email list contacts are kept until you unsubscribe. Hashed IP records used for spam limits are deleted within a day. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from our email list with the link at the bottom of any marketing email.
• Access, correct, or delete your information by emailing support@showersoftener.com. We will respond within 30 days, and we will not treat you differently for asking.

Depending on where you live, including California and other US states, you may have additional rights under local law. We honor these requests wherever you live.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections, access controls, and limiting what we collect in the first place. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect what you share with us.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Big changes will be clearly noted here.
